Sustainability at Copaco

Connect. Empower. Every day.

As a distributor, we have been the quiet force behind major IT brands in the Benelux for 40 years. And we are perfectly comfortable not being in the foreground, because that is exactly how we work: down-to-earth, reliable and with both feet firmly on the ground. We do not make things bigger than they are, but what we do, we simply do as well as possible.

The world in which we do business has changed. ‘Sustainable’ is no longer a buzzword, but an essential part of doing business. It is easy to say a lot about it, but we believe in action. Taking a step forward every day. For each other and for the world around us.

Our approach: honest, concrete, measurable

As a Benelux distributor, we are one flexible partner for technology products and services, with knowledge of international developments and the local market. As a Benelux distributor, we connect people, products and companies. And precisely because we are at the heart of that chain, we also feel responsible for organising it properly: delivering reliably, working together intelligently and making increasingly conscious choices. That is what ‘Connect to Empower’ means to us: empowering partners, without big words, but through consistent execution.

People: people make the difference

As a family business, we invest in our people. We create a working environment where colleagues can develop, work healthily and feel safe.

Planet: less impact, more value

We are working in a targeted way to reduce our environmental impact through clear choices in mobility, energy and logistics. Step by step, we are making our vehicle fleet more sustainable, accelerating the transition to renewable energy sources and optimising our transport flows. By structurally integrating these measures into our operations, we improve the efficiency of our chain and reduce our COâ‚‚ impact.

100%

electric/hybrid vehicle fleet by 2029. Progress in 2025: 72%.

100%

indirect emissions on renewable energy by 2029. Progress in 2025: 15% achieved

35%

fewer kilometres per pallet by 2030, with 2026 as the baseline year

Ethics: integrity as a foundation

We believe in an IT chain where technology is used efficiently and every device delivers maximum value throughout its full lifecycle. That is why we go beyond supplying hardware: we take care of the entire lifecycle management process, from initial deployment to reuse and sustainable disposal. This makes it simple and scalable for our partners to apply this circular approach for their customers.

For us, this is not a choice, but a given. Three principles are central to this:

  • Responsibility: no throwaway culture, but maximum value creation throughout the entire lifecycle.

  • Transparency: clear communication about our sustainability performance and choices.

  • Integrity: no compromises on compliance, working conditions or environmental standards.

Sustainable Procurement: sustainable purchasing with impact

Sustainable purchasing is an integral part of how we work with suppliers. We make conscious choices in products and raw materials, and focus on a chain that is transparent, responsible and future-proof.

Clear agreements across the chain

We safeguard this through clear frameworks, such as the Supplier Code of Conduct, the purchasing policy and the environmental policy. These form the basis for agreements on honest business practices, respect for people and the environment, reducing environmental impact and taking responsibility throughout the entire value chain.

Focusing on impact

We focus on choices that genuinely make a difference. By actively involving suppliers, making risks transparent and including sustainability in selection and collaboration, we gradually strengthen the quality and impact of our chain.

Improving together

Sustainable purchasing requires collaboration. By sharing data and implementing joint improvements, we continuously work towards a stronger and more sustainable chain. Not everything has to be perfect straight away, but the direction must be clear and demonstrable.

CopaCoins: encouraging sustainable choices

CopaCoins is our loyalty programme that encourages partners to invest in sustainable and future-oriented choices. Based on the belief that growth goes hand in hand with responsibility, we reward initiatives that contribute to a better world. The coins collected can be used for sustainable solutions, training and social causes. This creates tangible impact, with benefits that are noticeable both now and in the long term.

In 2025, we took further steps to reduce our impact and strengthen our approach. In our 2025 CSR report, we share our progress, insights and the steps we are taking together with partners towards a more sustainable IT chain.

For Copaco, sustainability is above all a way of working smarter. By taking a more critical look at processes, the supply chain and collaboration, we make better choices that reflect a responsible technology company.
