Robin Spruit, Azure-salesspecialist
Allow me to introduce myself: my name is Robin Spruit and I am an Azure sales specialist at Copaco Cloud. Every day, I talk to partners about the various possibilities Microsoft Azure has to offer. Many partners enquire about virtual machines, storage and, last but not least, Azure Virtual Desktop.
The conversations are about calculating the price of the desired solution and creating an architecture for it. The latter in particular differs from what people are traditionally used to. This is why I recommend all partners to take a look at the Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework (WAF). We will also be organising a workshop on WAF soon. If you are interested in this after reading my blog, you are of course welcome to look into this.
The WAF is a comprehensive set of best practices, guidelines and principles that helps organisations design, build and maintain secure, efficient and scalable cloud-based solutions on the Microsoft Azure platform. The framework provides a structured approach to cloud architecture.
The WAF is built on five pillars that reflect the key focus areas for cloud architecture. These pillars are:
In short, the Microsoft Azure Well-Architected Framework is a set of best practices and guidelines for designing and building the best infrastructure on Microsoft Azure. It allows you to improve the reliability, security, performance, cost-effectiveness and compliance of a cloud infrastructure. If you use or want to use Microsoft Azure, the Azure Well-Architected Framework is the way to set up a cloud infrastructure.
Do you also have questions about the Well-Architected Framework that have not yet been addressed? Then check out this website, keep an eye on our event and training page for the latest training sessions and/or contact me at cloud.belgium@copaco.com.
